The challenge

TK Elevator (thyssenkrupp) is one of the leading elevator companies in Spain, with more than 70 branches and a team of more than 2,700 professionals. It works on urban mobility projects across their whole life cycle, from installing new vertical transport equipment to inspection, maintenance and modernisation.

TK Elevator contacted Wideum through a consultancy to evaluate remote assistance for its internal audits, with the aim of cutting audit time and travel. It also wanted to refine its after-sales service and carry out elevator maintenance remotely to improve customer service.

The solution

After testing several Wideum products, TK Elevator chose Remote Eye as the option that best fitted its organisation. Instead of sending someone to a plant or factory for an audit, it sent a pair of smart glasses and had a remote expert carry out the audit.

Remote Eye runs on smart glasses, tablets and PCs to share information between on-site operators and support departments. It helps users with difficult tasks and maintenance, with real-time data at hand and a clear view of the remote situation.
